Hola,

Se acerca la *Cumbre de los Pueblos Enlazando Alternativas 3* (*13-16 demayo
de 2008, Lima, Perú*). Se trata de un encuentro promovido por diversos
movimientos sociales y organizaciones no gubernamentales de Europa y
deAmérica Latina y el Caribe (ALC). La
Cumbre se desarrollará en paralelo a la Quinta Cumbre de Jefes de Estado y
de Gobierno de ALC y la UE, máxima expresión política de las relaciones
entre los gobiernos de ambas regiones. El marco político birregional en el
que tendrán lugar ambos eventos es, sin duda, trascendental para el futuro
de nuestros pueblos. En Lima, en mayo 2008, no solamente impulsaremos
espacios de análisis critico sobre las relaciones UE-ALC, incluyendo
losAcuerdos
de Asociación, el comportamiento de las multinacionales, el militarismo y la
criminalización de los movimientos sociales en ambos continentes, sino que
además se llevara a cabo *un Tribunal de los Pueblos* para enjuiciar el
sistema de poder de las transnacionales europeas, tanto en América Latina y
el Caribe como en la propia UE.

Dear Friends,



The *Peoples Summit Enlazando Alternativas 3* is approaching (*May 13th to
16th 2008, Lima, Peru*). It will be a gathering sponsored by various social
movements and non-governmental organizations in Europe and Latin America and
the Caribbean (LAC). It will coincide with the Fifth Summit of Heads of
State and Government of LAC and the EU, the highest political meeting of
governments of the two regions. The bi-regional political framework in which
both events will take place is, without doubt, crucial for the future of our
peoples.  In Lima in May 2008, we will not only create opportunities for
critical analysis of relationships between the EU and ALC, including the
association agreements, the behaviour of multinationals, militarism and the
criminalisation of social movements on both continents, but there will also
be a *People's Tribunal to judge the power system of the European
transnationals, *both in Latin America and the Caribbean and in the EU.

Le *Sommet des Peuples Enlazando Alternativas 3* approche (*du 13 au 16 mai
2008, Lima, Pérou*). Il s'agit d'une reencontré promue par divers mouvements
sociaux ainsi que des Organisations non-gouvernementales d'Europe,
d'Amérique Latine et des Caraïbes (ALC). Le Sommet se déroulera
parallèlement au cinquième Sommet des Chefs d'Etat et de gouvernements
del'ALC et
de L'UE, la plus importante expression politique des relations entre les
gouvernements respectifs de ces deux régions. Le cadre politique bi-régional
dans lequel ces événements auront lieu est sans aucun doute de la plus haute
importance pour l'avenir de nos peuples. À Lima, non seulement nous mettrons
en place des espaces d'analyse critique sur les relations UE-ALC, en y
incluant les Accords d'Association, le comportement des multinationales, le
militarisme et la criminalisation des mouvements sociaux dans les deux
continents, mais en outre nous installerons un *Tribunal des Peuples pour
juger le système de pouvoir des transnationales européennes*, tant en
Amérique latine et dans les Caraïbes que dans l'UE.
