1 de mayo alternativo: Unos cinco mil manifestantes claman en Barcelona por la Huelga general

  Bajo el lema “1 de mayo alternativo: ante la crisis defendamos los derechos laborales y sociales” la manifestación, que ha arrancado de la Plaça Universitat sobre las 6 de la tarde, ha concluido en la Rambla del Raval de Barcelona pasadas las 8 de la noche. Previamente, representantes de distintos colectivos y organizaciones convocantes han realizado varios parlamentos en la misma Plaça Universitat denunciando la crisis y sus culpables, las políticas gubernamentales favorables al capital, el paro desbocado, la represión de los movimientos sociales y de los trabajadores y trabajadoras inmigrantes… exigiendo la huelga general como respuesta a la situación.
Esta exigencia, la huelga general, ha estado presente a lo largo de toda la manifestación: “Hace falta ya una huelga, una huelga… hace falta ya una huelga general”, “Contra la Europa del capital, huelga general”… acompañada de la exigencia de que el coste de la crisis recaiga sobre sus responsables: “Que la crisis la paguen los ricos”, “dinero para los obreros y no para los banqueros”… y la denuncia de la burocracia dirigente de los sindicatos mayoritarios y de sus políticas: “se puede, se debe, luchar contra los ERE`s”, “Se va acabar la burocracia sindical”… Frente al paro se han coreado propuestas como “4 millones de parados, repartamos el trabajo”, “trabajar menos para trabajar todos”, “Ni ERE’s, ni paro, ni precariedad, empresas en lucha, solidaridad”… Otras reivindicaciones aludían a las políticas de los gobiernos: “No, no, no, a la privatización”, “Gobierno de entesa, gobierno de empresa”, “El tripartito desaloja de noche”, “Bolonia se impone a golpes de porra”… La solidaridad con los y las inmigrantes también ha estado presente: “Ninguna persona es ilegal”, “Todos y todas somos inmigrantes”…
En la Rambla del Raval se ha hecho un llamamiento a la solidaridad antirrepresiva con Enric Duran, Karim y el activista del Caufec encarcelado, concluyendo la manifestación con la lectura del manifiesto unitario.
