¡Los empleados de IBM TURQUÍA piden ayuda para parar a los 'EXTERMINADORES'!

*Queridos compañeros del Comité Europeo,*
Estamos luchando contra los 'exterminadores' porque IBM ha cambiado las 
reglas del juego.
Otro compañero ejecutivo ha sido despedido por reclamar nuestros 
derechos adquiridos
Además sabemos que habrá más despidos
Todos los  valores y moralidad se han perdido

*¡LOS EMPLEADOS DE IBM TURQUÍA PIDEN AYUDA PARA PARAR A LOS 
'EXTERMINADORES'! *

IBM ha estado intentando desalentar nuestra lucha sindical desde el 21 
de diciembre de 2007 hasta ahora.

En primer lugar, intentaron evitar que seamos parte del sindicato. Para 
ello celebraron reuniones y dieron charlas especiales en las que hacían 
muchas promesas hermosas en cuanto a crecimiento, carrera, etc.

Luego, *despidieron a uno de nuestros compañeros* que era un "senior 
executive" que intentaba reclamar nuestros derechos, por su cuenta. 
Alegando razones injustas y falsas, dijeron, "Las personas que reclamen 
sus derechos serán despedidos, ya que preferimos trabajar exclusivamente 
con ejecutivos que hagan exactamente lo qué queremos".

No pudieron alcanzar su meta y la marcha de los acontecimientos fue 
exactamente la contraria de la que pretendían.  

Entonces, pusieron una demanda contra nuestro sindicato con razones 
falsas y ridículas. ¡Tenían la idea de que podrían deshacerse de 
nosotros con el paso del tiempo!

No perdimos el coraje. Permanecimos confiados. Resistimos y 
desarrollamos el sentido de la solidaridad.

Ahora han iniciado un nuevo proceso judicial de apelación justo en el 
momento en el que estaba a punto de que se emitiese la decisión legal a 
nuestro favor. Y lo que es más, esta apelación se ha comenzado contra el 
Ministerio del Trabajo. ¡Han apelado contra nuestro derecho que no sólo 
fue introducido por el Ministerio del Trabajo sino, también, publicado 
en el  Boletín Oficial de la República de Turquía!

¡Imposible de entender! ¿Cómo puede una compañía estar en contradicción 
total con sus propios valores éticos? ¿Cómo se atreven a intentar 
eliminar nuestros derechos y beneficios?

Bien al contrario, han hecho las siguientes autocomplacientes 
declaraciones en su propio libro: " IBM respetará el derecho legal de 
sus empleados a crear o a incluirse en organizaciones de trabajadores, 
incluyendo organizaciones profesionales o sindicatos. IBM respeta los 
derechos de los empleados a organizarse, y hace que los directores a 
todos los niveles sean conscientes de estos derechos......"  Políticas

Han estado intentando evitar el ejercicio de nuestro derecho más 
fundamental, que es nuestro derecho a sindicarnos y realizar nuestro 
deseo de desarrollar la solidaridad entre nuestros compañeros trabajadores.

Han empleado ejecutivos "destruye sindicatos" que reciben un sueldo de 
casi 70.000$ al mes. Todos estos ejecutivos no sólo están acusados de 
mostrar abierta hostilidad hacia los sindicatos, sino que son también 
famosos por actuar como 'exterminadores' capitalistas despidiendo 
trabajadores.

Además, están despidiendo a nuestros compañeros uno tras otro, los 
amenazan y nos están quitando nuestros derechos uno por uno.


¡Piensan que pueden debilitarnos!.

Como empleados de IBM, hemos estado luchando contra estas presiones y 
supresiones más de 9 meses.

Han hecho recientemente una injusticia inhumana. *Han despedido a otro 
compañero ejecutivo ayer (16 de octubre). ¡Él ha estado trabajando para 
esta compañía por más de 20 años!* ¡Él intentó defender nuestros 
derechos adquiridos! Él preguntó y no permitió que nos quitaran nuestros 
derechos.

Actualmente, ya no podemos reconocer a nuestra compañía, para la que 
hemos estado trabajando por 70 años. No podemos entender qué ha 
sucedido. Una nueva mentalidad que niega derechos y leyes haciéndonos 
añicos.

Nos preguntamos: "¿Qué está sucediendo? ¿Adónde vamos?" tal como nuestro 
compañero, los trabajadores resistiremos la injusticia codo con codo, 
mientras que les obligan a renunciar y son despedidos.

¡No permaneceremos como meros espectadores! ¡Y no debemos serlo!

Somos los empleados de IBM los de más talento y la mano de obra más 
experta de este país y *nosotros no estamos solos*. Abrazamos no sólo a 
los trabajadores de las tecnologías de la información de Turquía, sino 
también a todos los compañeros del sector, a todos los sindicatos 
legales y las organizaciones civiles de Turquía.

Abrazamos a los sindicatos UNI global, Ver.di e IGMetal, que creen en el 
significado de la sindicalización dentro de un mundo global y que tienen 
millones de miembros luchando por esta idea.

Somos empleados globales de IBM. Somos miembros de AlianceaIBM y EWC.

*Y TE llamamos para parar esta injusticia. *

Nuestro mensaje a Sr. Palmisano:

"*Su equipo directivo está actuando para destruir los valores de IBM, 
por favor párelos y arregle el problema*"

Si *IBM no retira la denuncia* construida contra nuestra legítima 
sindicalización y *si no pone fin a los despidos injustos*, rechazamos 
ver a *Sam Palmisano y sus huéspedes en Estambul* para el Foro de 
Liderazgo en los Negocios del 12-14 de noviembre.

*¡Y anunciamos que celebraremos una acción global diaria hasta que 
ganemos! *

We are NOW fighting aginst terminators becuse IBM has changed the rule

Our another fellow executive has been dissmised because he has just 
questioned our acquired rights.
Moreover, we know that there will be more dismissals.
All morals and values are excluded.

*IBM TURKEY'S EMPLOYEES ASK SUPPORT TO STOP TERMINATORS !*


IBM has been trying to discourage our union struggle since December 21, 
2007 up until now.

Firstly, they attempted to prevent us from becoming a member of the 
trade union. They held  meetings and gave special speeches making many 
beautiful promises as to growth,  career, etc.  

Later, *they dismissed one of our fellows* who was a senior executive 
attempting to ask for our rights on his own. Citing unfair and false 
reasons, they said, "Persons who ask for their rights will be kicked 
out, since we prefer working exclusively with executives who will do 
exactly what we want."  

They could not achieve their goal and the march of events was the direct 
opposite of what they were after.

Then, they filed a lawsuit against our trade union for false and 
ridiculous reasons. They had the idea that they could wipe us away with 
the lapse of time!

We did not lose heart. We remained patient. We resisted them and we 
developed a sense of solidarity.  

They have now initiated a new process of appeal right at a time when we 
have been on the verge of hearing the legal decision in favor of us. And 
what's more, this process of appeal has been started against the 
Ministry of Labour. They have appealed against our right that was not 
only introduced by the Ministry of Labour but published in the Official 
Gazette of the Republic of Turkey, as well!  

Impossible to understand! How can a company be in total contradiction 
with its own ethical values? How dare they attempt to take our rights 
and gains away?

On the contrary, they have made the following pleasant statements in 
their own book: /"...IBM will respect the legal rights of its employees 
to join or to refrain from joining worker organizations, including labor 
organizations or trade unions. IBM respects the rights of employees to 
organize, and makes managers at all levels aware of those rights......"

They have been trying to prevent us from exercising our most fundamental 
right which is our right to uninonize and realizing our will to develop 
solidarity among our fellow workers.

They have employed "union terminator" executives receiving a salary of 
nearly $70,000/Month. All of these executives are not only accused of 
baring union hostility, but they are also famous for acting as 
Capitalist terminators who can give employees the elbow.  

Moreover, our fellows are being dismissed one after another, they are 
threatened and our rights are being taken away from us one by one.

They think they can weaken us!

We, as IBM employees, have been struggling against these pressures and 
suppressions for over 9 months.  

They have recently made inhumane injustice. *They have dismissed another 
fellow executive yesterday (16th of October). He has been working for 
this company for more than 20 years!* He tried to defend our acquired 
rights ! He questioned and didn't allow our rights to be taken away.

These days, we cannot recognize our company any more for which we have 
been working for 70 years. We cannot understand what has been going on. 
A new mentality denying both right and law tears us to shreds.  

We are asking ourselves the questions "What is happening? Where are we 
going?" as our fellow workers resisting injustice are given the elbow 
one after another, as they are exiled and as they are compelled to quit.
 
We will no longer be a mere spectator! And we should not be a mere 
spectator!

We are the IBM employees who are the most talented and the most skillful 
labor force of this country and *we are not alone.* We embrace not only 
information technology laborers across Turkey, but also all IT sector 
fellows, all Civil Organizationsa and Turkey's legal trade unions.

We embrace UNI Global, Ver.di and IGMetal, all of which believe in the 
significance of unionization within a global world and all of which have 
millions of members fight for this belief.

We are global IBM employees. We are members of AlianceaIBM and EWC.

*And we call YOU to stop this injustice. *

Our message to *Mr. Palmisano;*

*"* *Your management team is acting to destroy the IBM Values, please 
stop them and fix the problem"*

If *IBM* *does not withdraw the lawsuit *filed against our legitimate 
unionization and *if they do not put an end to unfair dismissals, we 
*refuse to see *Sam Palmisano and his guests in Istanbul* for Business 
Leadership Forum on November 12-14.

*And we announce that we will hold a global action everyday until we win 
! *
