<font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">Nos preocupa el auge de los fascismos que están aprovechando el descontento popular para crecer en Europa. Los partidos de ultraderecha mantienen discursos abiertamente xenófobos, retrógrados
y antifeministas que son permitidos complacientemente por las élites políticas y económicas y reproducidos por los medios de comunicación acríticamente, dando la impresión de que son posiciones políticas tan válidas como cualquier otra, pero no lo son. No
es aceptable el grado de deshumanización y retroceso que contienen los mensajes de la ultraderecha que van calando poco a poco en las sociedades europeas, tal como ya pasó hace 80 años.</font></font></p>

<font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">Pero más nos preocupa que Europa está en guerra aquí y ahora. Sí, Europa está en guerra en sus fronteras. Es una guerra abierta contra las personas migrantes y pobres, las refugiadas, las personas
que huyen del hambre y los desastres climáticos. No es una guerra que se haya declarado en los foros internacionales de forma legal, ni que se libre con bombas y misiles, pero lleva años matando a miles de personas. Europa lleva a cabo acciones de guerra cada
vez que no se rescata una pequeña embarcación con decenas de person</font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">as,</font></font></font><font color="#6600cc"><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">
</font></font></font><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">dejando que se hunda en el Mediterráneo, cada vez que se niega un puerto seguro a un barco de rescate lleno de gente, contraviniendo los pilares básicos del derecho naval
internacional, o cada vez que cierra una frontera con vallas.</font></font></p>

<font color="#000000"><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">La Unión Europea no se mancha las manos de sangre, porque los europeos somos civilizados. Esos servicios se externalizan y los llevan a cabo por nosotros Marruecos, Turquía
o Libia. Por ejemplo los acuerdos con Marruecos incluyen ayudas económicas y el compromiso implícito de que Europa no cuestiona los atropellos a los Derechos Humanos en el país. A cambio Marruecos acepta la devolución en caliente de los migrantes detenidos
en la valla de Ceuta y Melilla, incluso personas detenidas ya en el continente. Es sabido que en ocasiones la forma de “gestionar” el problema que ha tenido Marruecos es abandonarlos en su frontera sur, en el desierto del Sáhara, sin agua ni alimentos, es
decir, les ha aplicado una pena de muerte lenta e inhumana. </font></font></font></p>

<font color="#000000"><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">La situación de las mujeres migrantes es aún peor, pues además de estar expuestas a las mismas penurias, se ven acosadas por la violencia sexual, la trata y la falta de
recursos específicos para mujeres. Si las personas migrantes en general encuentran miles de obstáculos para llegar a su destino, las mujeres migrantes se llevan la peor parte al ser víctimas de todo tipo de abusos por el hecho de ser mujer.

<font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">También los niños que se ven obligados a dejar su casa y a su familia en busca de un futuro son víctimas inocentes de esta guerra en la frontera. Cuando llegan a Europa se ven acosados como
criminales y se les niegan sus derechos más básicos: a la educación y a condiciones de vida dignas. Los menores no acompañados acaban muchas veces durmiendo en la calle, donde sufren violencias de todo tipo y se ven abocados a malvivir de la mendicidad o los
pequeños hurtos, como Oliver Twist del s. XXI.</font></font></p>

<font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">Las mujeres antimilitaristas y feministas europeas no podemos permanecer calladas ante la Europa fortaleza que se está construyendo a nuestro alrededor. No queremos ser referentes morales de
nada, pero no podemos permanecer de brazos caídos. </font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">Acoger</font></font></font><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt"> a los miles
de migrantes no es caridad, es justicia, porque somos conscientes de que nuestro nivel de vida y despilfarro se basa en el expolio de otros pueblos y territorios. Por eso queremos hacer un llamamiento a todas las mujeres de la Red para que de cara a las próximas
elecciones europ</font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-style:normal">eas, en resistencia contra las políticas migratorias xenófobas, se sumen a la acción europea del 5 de</span></font></font></font><font face="Garamond, serif"><font size="3" style="font-size:12pt">
mayo “El abrazo de los pueblos”.</font></font></p>
