Lameez desde Sudáfrica sobre el encuentro
internacional de MdN (al final está el mensaje
original). Creo que hay varios mensajes que han
circulado por la lista en inglés que no se han
traducido para que lleguen a la lista en
castellano. Por si alguien no está informada,
recuerdo que las nuevas fechas del encuentro serán
del 5 al 8 de marzo de 2018. La organización de la
que habla Lameez que va a financiar parte del
encuentro es la Agencia Vasca de Cooperación al
Desarrollo, según contaba en otros mensajes.<br>

inspiradora camarada, Corinne Kumar, conocimos a otro
patrocinador la semana pasada.<br>

class="gmail-aQJ">El miércoles tuvimos un encuentro
por </span></span>skype con ellas y les mandamos
nuestra propuesta y presupuesto que ellos llevaron a su
encuentro del jueves<span class="gmail-aBn" tabindex="0"><span
class="gmail-aQJ"></span></span>. El resultado de su
encuentro es que ellos financiarán lo que falte de
nuestro presupuesto para cubrir todos los gastos del
encuentro tales como alojamiento, comidas y costes
relacionados con los cuatro días de nuestro encuentro. <br>

<font color="#6600cc">Esto son realmente buenas noticias.
Estamos tan contentas y llenas de energía y preparadas
ahora para trabajar con vosotras y nuestra hermanas en
Sudáfrica para hacer que el encuentro internacional de MdN
de marzo de 2018 sea una importante y poderosa asamblea de
mujeres activistas de todo el globo. <br>

<font color="#6600cc">Hemos conseguido asegurar un lugar
grande en el Castillo de Buena Esperanza. el castillo fue
una fortaleza militar establecida por los primeros
colonizadores. Fue también un lugar en el que los líderes
anticoloniales fueron encarcelados. Los actuales gerentes
del lugar apoyan iniciativas civiles y activistas que den un
nuevo propósito al uso original del castillo. El sitio está
en el centro de la Ciudad del Cabo, cerca del parlamento
donde podemos llevar a cabo nuestra vigila del Día de la
Mujer, cerca hay transporte, hoteles y otros servicios. El
salón de plenos puede albergar a 300 personas y otros
espacios más pequeños han sido reservados para MdN de
Sudáfrica para los descansos entre las sesiones de talleres.<br>

We have wonderful news to share with you. Through our
inspiring comrade, Corinne Kumar, we were introduced
to another funder last week.<br>
<br>

class="gmail-aQJ">On Wednesday</span></span> we held
a skype meeting with them and sent our proposal and
budget to them which they tabled at their board meeting
<span class="gmail-aBn" tabindex="0"><span
class="gmail-aQJ">on Thursday</span></span>. The
outcome of their meeting is that they will fund the
balance of our budget to cover all our gathering related
expenses such as accommodation, meals and related costs
for the four days of our meeting. <br>

This is truly wonderful news. We are so excited and
energised and ready now to work with you and our sisters
in SA to make the March 2018 international WIB gathering a
powerful and important assembly of women activists from
across the globe. <br>
<br>

We have managed to secure a large venue at the Castle of
Good Hope. The castle was a military fort established by the
first colonizers. It was also a place where anti-colonial
leaders were imprisoned. The current managers of the space
support civil and activist initiatives that repurpose the
original use of the castle. The venue is in the Cape Town
city centre, near to parliament where we can hold our
International Women's Day vigil, it is close to transport
and to hotels and other amenities. The plenary room can
hold 300 people and additional smaller spaces have been
allocated to WIBSA for the break away workshop sessions.<br>
