Dear Women in Black,





We send you a warm greeting for the New Year; we wish that this 2011 brings
you health and much strength to continue taking on the great challenges that
come along with working for the recognition of the rights of women and for a
world without war or violence.



We are picking back up our work activities with renewed energy to continue
in the preparation of the XV International Conference of Women in Black that
will be carried out in Bogotá, Colombia, the 15th – 20th of August, 2011. We
invite you to write to us at the following email address:

We would like to reiterate the following:



1.    Registration is open. Cost is 300 Euros or $390 USD.

2.    The dates and space for the event are confirmed, such that women who
already plan to go can reserve their airfare.

3.    Some women will need to arrange for a VISA to come to Colombia; in
that case, send us a letter of request and we will arrange the VISA for you
though email. The information needed is: Full name, Number of your ID
document, and the organization to which you belong.

This process with the Colombian Consulate in different countries is long and
laborious.

4.    There is a proposed list of topics to develop for the Encounter. We
invite you to make comments and proposals, and to nominate yourself or
someone else to be conference speakers or panelists.
