Una dècada més tard de les massives mobilitzacions contra aquestes dues institucions a Praga, al setembre de 2000, BM i FMI segueixen amb forces renovades imposant la seva visió de l’economia i el desenvolupament arreu del món. Han canviat tant el FMI i el BM com per a que els moviments socials haguem deixat de mobilitzar-nos contra les seves polítiques? En què estan actualment les bessones de Bretton Woods?</font></td>

Després d´anys de treball, diversos mesos de negociació política i qui sap quants diners gastats, l´informe va ser difós de manera informal en el web del BM, únicament en anglès. <br>
L´informe és alhora un fracàs i un motiu de desencantament. Tothom esperava que el Banc proporcionés noves i sòlides dades obtingudes en el lloc dels fets, sobre aquestes “adquisicions de terra a gran escala”, per a usar la seva terminologia, que han provocat controvèrsia des de 2008.

<td class="txt"><font style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #666666; text-decoration:none; list-style-image: url(/imatges/vinyeta.gif); list-style-position: outside; "> Des de fa prop de 10 anys, el principal treball de l´Observatori del Deute en la Globalització, en el si de la Càtedra UNESCO de Sostenibilitat de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, ha consistit en la investigació activista sobre les relacions de desigualtat Nord-Sud, així com sobre la generació de deutes contrets durant l´actual procés de globalització. Hem ampliat aquesta activitat cap a d´altres esferes, del que denominem “l´Anticooperació” , és a dir, el conjunt de processos i mecanismes transnacionals generats pels països econòmicament més poderosos, que, en el marc de les relacions internacionals, interfereixen negativament en els països més empobrits. <br><br>
Aquest informe, fruit del treball realitzat conjuntament amb Veterinaris Sense Fronteres i SETEM, apunta el cas del “Complex del Riu Madera”, un dels majors conflictes socials, econòmics i ambientals implicats pel puixant desenvolupament de les megainfraestructures a l´ Amèrica del Sud, en el marc de la Iniciativa per a la Integració de les Infraestructures Regionals Sudamericanes (IIRSA). Neix de la preocupació generada pels impactes que pot tenir la construcció de megapreses a l´Amazònia brasilera i boliviana, amb la participació del principal banc espanyol: el Banco Santander. Esperem que sigui una contribució als esforços desplegats per la societat civil mobilitzada, en favor de que les autoritats i empreses espanyoles deixin d´anticooperar i assumeixin per fi la responsabilitat exterior que tenen les seves activitats, sobretot quan incideixen negativament en les poblacions més empobrides i en els ecosistemes més vulnerables. <br><br>

La denúncia s´ha fet pública arran de l´aprovació al Congrés de Diputats del nou Fons per la Promoció del Desenvolupament (FONPRODE), un nou instrument creditici que, juntament amb el Fons per la Internacionalització de l´Empresa Espanyola (FIEM) aprovat el passat juny, venen a substituir els tant criticats i desletitimats crèdits FAD.

Més d´un miler de ciutadans i ciutadanes s´han sumat a les demandes de Qui deu a Qui? en aquest tram final de la tramitació de FONPRODE al Parlament i, coincidint amb la IV Setmana d´Acció Global contra el Deute i les IFIs, han enviat una carta al President del Govern demanant-li que afronti de manera valenta i definitiva el problema del deute extern. <br><br><b>Encara podeu participar en aquesta acció i dir-li a Rodríguez Zapatero que actui contra el deute extern. Sabies que a Catalunya devorem 27,7 kg de peix per habitant i any (el doble de la mitjana mundial) i que l´Estat espanyol disposa d´una de les majors flotes pesqueres a nivell global? T´has preguntat d´on procedeix tot el peix que consumim? De les costes espanyoles o potser de països empobrits a Amèrica Llatina o a Àfrica? Té la pesca industrial algun tipus de conseqüència social i/o ecològica fora de les nostres fronteres? Existeixen pirates espanyols? Quins són els interessos del sector pesquer espanyol i de la Unió Europea? Buscant aportar una reflexió en aquest sentit, des de la Campanya pel reconeixement del Deute Ecològic i la Sobirania Alimentària, “No et Mengis el Món”, OCEAN 2012 i Ecologistas en Acción volem, mitjançant aquest Seminari, analitzar en profunditat els impactes socials i ambientals d´aquest model pesquer i avaluar com podem fer front a aquesta situació.<br><br>
