Encara menys pot fer front al pagament del deute” afirma Abdul Khaliq, portaveu al Pakistan de la xarxa internacional Comitè per l’Anulació del Deute del Tercer Món (CADTM). Després de les devastadores inundacions que el país pateix des de fa 8 setmanes, Khaliq s’ha unit a les múltiples veus que demanen, no només més ajuda per al Pakistan, sinó la cancel•lació del seu deute extern. Abans de les inundacions el deute extern de Pakistan era de 54 mil milions de dòlars i el Govern dedicava a pagar el deute el triple de recursos del que destinava a salut. Un deute que s’ha anat acumulant de forma paral•lela a la successió de governs no democràtics, mantinguts al poder en part gràcies als crèdits de governs i institucions financeres internacionals. Segons el CADTM, el 80% del deute de Pakistan és deute odiós, és a dir, un deute acumulat per règims no democràtics, que no ha beneficiat a la població, amb el coneixement i consentiment dels creditors...</font></td>

Les negociacions, si segueixen pel camí actual, no seran la solució als problemes que pateixen alguns països africans, al contrari, poden comportar severs impactes negatius per a àmplies capes de la població africana. Els possibles beneficis per a determinades empreses exportadores europees i africanes no justifiquen el sacrifici que poden suposar els nous acords per a la majoria de la població, los perjudicis en el marc de la integració regional africana i la reducció del marge de maniobra macroeconòmic i social dels països africans. Però no totes les cartes estan repartides, encara és possible canviar les normes del joc i evitar els impactes negatius que es poden derivar d’aquests acords...</font></td>

La campanya Qui deu a qui? s´ha unit a la comunitat internacional expressant la seva profunda solidaritat amb la població del Pakistan que segueix patint des de finals de juliol per les pitjors inundacions de la seva història, amb almenys 1752 morts i una cinquena part del territori inundat, que ha deixat a més de 10 milions de persones sense llar i ha danyat 7 milions de hectàrees de cultius agrícoles i altres estructures econòmiques (elevant a 21 milions de persones el nombre d´afectats directament). Les inundacions no només van causar estralls a la vida i l’economia, sinó que també van agreujar intensament la ja desesperada situació de la població pakistanesa.<b> Per tot això la campanya Qui deu a qui? se suma a la crida de la Campanta Internacional contra el Deute Il·legitim per la cancel·lació immediata, total i incondicional del deute extern del Pakistan.</b><br><br>

Pagesia: homes i dones. En teoria, totes les persones tenim drets, els mateixos per a tots i totes, independentment de la raça, el sexe, la religió o la condició social. A la pràctica és molt diferent. La dona, per ser dona, es troba davant d’una realitat discriminatòria inherent a l’actual organització socioeconòmica i cultural que fa prevaler l’home davant de la dona, allò masculí davant d’allò femení, allò productiu davant d’allò reproductiu. La pagesia, per la seva ubicació en l‘escala social, per la seva condició de proveïdora d’aliments, també es troba sota aquest model capitalista, que fa prevaler allò industrial davant d’allò rural, la ciutat davant del camp, la velocitat davant de l’assossec. Homes i dones per tant que són discriminats, invisibilitzats en el conjunt de la cadena agroalimentària i en el conjunt de la societat. Però si els homes pagesos són discriminats i inivisibilitzats, les dones i pageses ho són doblement: per ser pageses i per ser dones. Una realitat molt més dura i difícil que la dels seus companys de lluita per la sobirania alimentària. Una situació que en aquest número de la revista ‘Soberanía Alimentaria, Biodiversidad y Culturas’ es vol contribuir a descobrir, perquè tot el que no es publica sembla que no existeixi, i aquesta doble desigualtat, aquests mecanismes d’invisibilització (alguns clars, d’altres més subtils), aquesta atroç situació d’injustícia diària patida per centenars de milers de dones cada dia cal ser denunciada. Només després de la informació ve la presa de consciència, pas previ per a l’organització i per a la lluita pel reconeixement del paper de les dones pageses en l’alimentació i en la supervivència i sostenibilitat d’un medi rural viu. Una lluita que tots i totes, homes i dones, pagesos i pageses, hem d’incorporar en el nostre imaginari col·lectiu per a la construcció conjunta d’un món just. <br><br>
