Més enllà de les tant anunciades mesures com la fi del secret bancari, el major regulació del sector financer o la promesa de més d’un bilió de dòlars per les Institucions Financeres Internacional, s’evidencia que l’objectiu no és un canvi de model econòmic, sinó fer petits retocs per a que tot continuï igual. </font></td>

D’una banda, els biocombustibles són, en principi, una font d’energia que permetria no augmentar en excés la presència de CO2 a l’atmosfera, ja que el CO2 que desprenen a la fase de combustió és, en part – en funció del mètode productiu-, equivalent a allò que han absorbit a la fase de creixement de les plantes que s’utilitzen per a produir-los. A més, l’ús de biocombustibles en lloc dels combustibles fòssils reduiria parcialment el problema de la falta de matèries primeres, i afavoriria la diversificació de les fonts d’energia. Finalment, s’argumenta que un sector energètic basat en la biomassa, si es dóna en les condicions adequades, possiblement crearia feina i afavoriria el desenvolupament rural.No obstant, existeixen nombroses veus crítiques davant el desenvolupament a gran escala dels biocombustibles, especialment en l’ús pel transport, pels impactes socio-ambientals negatius que es comencen a apreciar...</font></td>

Es tracta dels Fons d’Ajuda al Desenvolupament (FAD) i de la cobertura de risc empresarial, a través de la Companyia Espanyola d’Assegurances de Crèdits a l’Exportació (CESCE). Des de la Campanya Qui deu a qui? considerem que el que s’està plantejant és una contrarreforma que aprofundirà l’endeutament dels països empobrits i la violació dels drets humans per a la satisfacció dels interessos privats comercials espanyols. Per això ens oposem a que amb recursos públics -dels contribuents espanyols- s’aprovin reformes cosmètiques que, sota la retòrica de donar suport al “desenvolupament” al Sud i els “interessos espanyols” segueixin beneficiant els interessos privats d’empreses i perpetuant l’endeutament , el saqueig de recursos i la pobresa dels països del Sud.
Hem de sumar esforços en aquesta lluita contra aquestes dues reformes que han de vindre. Si des de les vostres organitzacions esteu denunciant la manca de transparència i participació democràtica del nostre govern; l’orientació de la política exterior espanyola a favor d’interessos de multinacionals espanyoles, en lloc dels drets humans i la pau; els impactes socio-ambientals de les multinacionals espanyoles ; així com els processos de desregulació dels mercats i deslocalització de les empreses per maximitzar els seus beneficis a costa dels drets humans, laborals i ambientals, des de Qui deu a qui? us demanem la vostra adhesió a les demandes incorporades en aquest document.<br><br>

Impactes socials i ambientals en el Sud”. </b>Aquesta exposició pretén fomentar la reflexió responent a preguntes tal com: Què són els agrocombustibles? Són realment una resposta davant l´escalfament global? D´on prové la matèria primera? Milloren les condicions de vida en els països del Sud? Quins són els impactes socials i ambientals en els països del Sud? Quins són els interessos corporatius en aquest sector? Quines perspectives tenim davant la Sobirania alimentària i la Sobirania energètica?*<br>
<b>L´exposició s’inaugurarà a Menorca en el marc d´un Vídeo-fòrum de pel·lícules que durem a terme a Maó i Ciutadella</b>, organitzat conjuntament amb el Fons Menorquí de Cooperació, Veterinaris Sense Fronteres i Entrepobles, en el qual es projectaran diferents documentals que tenen per objectiu sensibilitzar la població menorquina sobre els impactes socials i ambientals del model de producció i consum del Nord en els països del Sud. Així mateix, cerquem promoure una reflexió col·lectiva sobre les alternatives que sorgeixen des de la societat civil. <b>En ambdues ciutats, es comptarà amb una xerrada a càrrec de l’ODG</b>.<br><br>

Ens trobem davant una crisi multisectorial (ecològica, alimentària, energètica, financera, econòmica, cultural i de valors). Aquesta crisi ens afecta a tota la humanitat, però estem convençuts que els impactes seran més greus sobre aquelles poblacions més empobrides. Ens preocupa que des dels àmbits de poder no s’estiguin donant les respostes adequades per sortir-ne. Aquestes crisis s´entrellacen conformant una crisi sistèmica i global que tendeix a afectar a un nombre cada vegada major de persones, tant al Sud com al propi Nord. El context actual constitueix una ocasió sense precedents per a afrontar des de la reflexió i des de la pràctica els mecanismes que ens han dut a tal estat de col·lapse global. Així mateix, pensem que és el moment de replantejar les normes de la convivència entre els Pobles, regions i països, així com les relacions que es desenvolupen amb el medi ambient, per a transformar aquestes realitats.<br><br>

Aquesta Jornada té per objectiu fer una reflexió col•lectiva entorn als temes que profunditzen les relacions de desigualtat entre ambdós continents. Entre altres, es debatrà sobre els Tractats de Lliure Comerç i les migracions, els moviments indígenes i feministes, el deute extern i el deute ecològic, els impactes socials i ambientals de les transnacionals europees en Amèrica Llatina i el Carib, la crisi i les condicions laborals, així com els Drets Humans i el militarisme. Una part essencial de la Jornada es dedicarà a la integració regional alternativa i a les resistències. Aquesta primera trobada, en relació amb la xarxa Enllaçant Alternatives, s’integra en la preparació de la resposta des de la societat civil europea i llatinoamericana davant la VI Cimera Unió Europea - Amèrica Llatina i Carib de la primavera del 2010 a Madrid.<br><br>

Aquest any, la conferència es celebrarà a Barcelona, Catalunya, i es centrarà en l'origen, les conseqüències i les possibles solucions per a la crisi econòmica mundial. L'esdeveniment congregarà uns 130 analistes polítics i activistes del Nord i del Sud i pretén establir un consens de la societat civil en la defensa i propostes d'acció. En aquests temps de crisi financera mundial, on el debat polític evoluciona amb gran rapidesa, una reunió com aquesta es fa més que mai essencial. <br>
