Perquè s’han plantejat com la peça del joc necessària per a sortir de grans problemàtiques a la vegada mundials, regionals, estatals i locals. Solució en concret al garbull climàtic global, a la crisi i dependència energètica dels Estats Units i Europa dels ‘països gamberros’, la contaminació a les ciutats, el despoblament del camp i l’extrema pobresa dels camperols del Tercer Món. Però també són notícia perquè suposen impactes negatius molt seriosos sobre alguns sectors. Per un costat, s’apleguen els qui hi veuen oportunitats (negocis principalment, però també escapatòria política) i, per l'altre, els qui en seran víctimes o en són sensibles. Oportunistes, sensibles i afectats potencials, estirant de la mateixa corda. Qui són uns i altres?</font></td>

Des de l´Observatori del Deute en la Globalització (ODG) vam iniciar fa ja més de tres anys un treball de discussió al voltant del concepte del Deute Il·legítim. Un treball compartit amb moltes altres organitzacions i moviments socials de tot el món. Aquest esforç de conceptualització es complementa amb la realització d´estudis de cas i, en la mesura del possible, l´impuls de processos de auditories de deute que ens ajudi a dur a la pràctica el concepte de deutes il·legítims.<br><br>
És en aquest marc que des del ODG hem realitzat l´informe “Deutes il·legítims entre l´Equador i l´Estat espanyol”. A través de l´estudi de casos reals, es volia demostrar que existeixen deutes que l´Estat espanyol exigeix i cobra en l´actualitat que poden ser il·legítims, i que és necessària i factible la realització de auditories integrals del deute, tant en el Sud com en el Nord, per a dilucidar l´origen legítim o no d´aquests deutes. <br><br>

S’ha accelerat la seva producció a gran escala, amb la intenció de reduir les emissions de gasos d’efecte hivernacle, i per tant contribuir a la mitigació del canvi climàtic. Les persones autores d’aquest llibre integren el Grup de Bionegocis, un espai multidisciplinari impulsat des de la Campanya “No et mengis el món”, el qual investiga a Catalunya des de l’any 2007 sobre la temàtica dels agrocombustibles. El principal objectiu d’aquesta publicació és aprofundir en alguns aspectes per tal de lliurar eines de reflexió i acció. Pretén respondre a preguntes com: què són els agrocombustibles? És positiu el seu rendiment energètic? Quina és la petjada hídrica d’aquests carburants? Són realment una resposta a l’escalfament global? D’on ve la matèria primera? Milloren les condicions de vida als països del Sud? Quins són els interessos corporatius que hi ha al darrera? Generaran els agrocombustibles un major deute ecològic? És la segona generació una resposta adient? Quines perspectives tenim front a la Sobirania Alimentària i la Sobirania Energètica?<br><br>

Per primera vegada a l'Estat espanyol es fa asseure a la banqueta dels acusats un Inspector i un Sots-Inspector de la Policia Nacional per donar ordres de càrrega desproporcionada contra manifestants que reclamaven l'abolició del Deute Extern.<br><br>
