El primer que s’havia de fer era, lògicament, convèncer el concessionari de les aigües del Baix Roine, BRL. Un concessionari que, per fortuna per AgBar, es tractava d’un operador semiprivatitzat. Concretament, amb una més que notable participació de Saur-Buygues, una de les cinc grans multinacionals mundials del sector de l’aigua. La primera, ja ho sabem, és Suez, propietària juntament amb La Caixa d’Aigües de Barcelona...

L’anticooperació és un concepte nou i útil per als moviments socials que lluiten per la justícia global. Però, en què consisteix? Que té a veure amb la noció de decreixement?

L’objectiu de l’esmentada auditoria era ambiciós: “examinar i avaluar el procés de contractació i/o renegociació de l’endeutament públic, l’origen i destí dels recursos i l’execució dels programes i projectes que es financin amb deute intern i extern, amb la finalitat de determinar la seva legitimitat, legalitat, transparència, qualitat, eficàcia i eficiència, considerant els aspectes legals i financers, els impactes econòmics, socials, de gènere, regionals, ecològics i sobre nacionalitats i pobles".</font></td>

Va ser al Fòrum Social Mundial de Nairobi (gener 2007) on moviments de deute d´arreu del món van acordar tirar endavant una “Setmana d´Acció Global Contra el Deute Extern i les IFIs”, coincidint, entre d´altres, amb les reunions anuals del Banc Mundial i el FMI a Washington. Es van tractar temes com el deute financer, social i ecològic mitjançant tallers, conferències i diferents activitats lúdiques. La Setmana va servir també per enfortir part del teixit associatiu català degut a l’articulació entre diferents col.lectius, individus i organitzacions que treballen problemàtiques afins.<br><br>
Donat l’èxit que va tenir i l’amplia participació, organitzarem la SEGONA SETMANA DEL DEUTE (13-19 d’octubre 2008). Tindrà lloc arreu del món.<br><br>
Ja s’ha celebrat la primera reunió preparatòria d’aquesta 2ª Setmana. Enguany girarà al voltant d’Àfrica; el comerç entre la UE i Àfrica, les migracions, el deute il.legítim, la cooperació, les transnacionals, etc.<br><br>
La propera reunió on continuarem definint, preparant la Setmana serà el 9 de Setembre a les 19:30h al SCI (C. CARME 95). Hi sou tots i totes convidats.<br><br>

Sota el títol “Decreixement sostenible”, la presentació va comptar amb la participació de Joan Martínez, Alier, Mauro Bonaiuti, Francois Schneider i Jofre Rodrigo.<br><br>
En aquest número la revista Ecología Política aprofundeix en el concepte de decreixement. No és una temàtica nova, ja fa dècades Georgescu-Roegen, entre d'altres, posava sobre la taula la necessitat de reflexionar sobre l'error que suposa centrar el model econòmic i l'esforç polític en el creixement indefinit del producte interior brut. No obstant, en los últims anys les propostes de decreixement s'han renovat i han ressorgit amb força impulsades per nous moviments socials.<br><br>
El número inclou articles en profunditat de la màxima actualitat que proporcionen una visió amplia del tema, s'hi poden trobar també entrevistes en exclusiva realitzades a especialistes que reflexionen sobre aspectes bàsics relacionats amb la temàtica, així com articles regionals que permeten visualitzar amb claredat les múltiples visions i experiències vigents.<br><br>
