Todos ellos presentarán hoy en Madrid el informe, que aboga por resucitar una versión ampliada de la <I>tasa Tobin.</I> Y por complementarla donde sea necesario con impuestos sobre la banca y mayores recargos sobre las plusvalías de activos financieros.<BR>"Los tributos deben servir para diferenciar comportamientos y penalizar a los movimientos especulativos a cortísimo plazo, los juegos de casino que en nada ayudan a las empresas", explica el ex ministro socialista Jesús Caldera, que dirige la Fundación Ideas. A diferencia de lo que proponía la <I>tasa Tobin,</I> centrada en los mercados de divisas, el nuevo impuesto mundial gravaría todas las transacciones, incluidas aquellas que se formalizan de forma bilateral fuera de los mercados regulados. El tipo sería bajo (entre el 0,01% y el 0,05% del importe negociado) pero suficiente para desincentivar operaciones especulativas cuyas ganancias depende de diferencias de precio mínimas en apuestas de gran volumen a corto plazo. Los expertos creen posible que esta <I>tasa Tobin</I> ampliada lleve a una reducción drástica de los volúmenes de contratación. Con una reducción del 65% del volumen de contratación, se prevé una recaudación mundial de 467.000 millones, que en el mercado español quedaría en 2.200.<BR> <BR> <BR><A href="mailto:junta@attac-cataluny">junta@attac-cataluny</A><BR> <BR> <BR>
