<td><font style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #666666; text-decoration:none; list-style-image: url(/imatges/vinyeta.gif); list-style-position: outside; ">El pasado sábado 8 de enero a las 16.00h, las poblaciones de San Pablo, San José Rodeo, Malacatán, Tacumulco y Catarina, en el departamento de San Marcos, Guatemala, sufrieron un corte en el suministro de energía eléctrica como respuesta a sus acciones de resistencia para combatir los abusos de Unión Fenosa, una resistencia traducida en el impago de las facturas. La transnacional española ni siquiera respetó a los usuarios y usuarias que habían hecho los pagos, dejó sin luz a más de 20.000 familias repitiendo el corte del 15 de diciembre de 2009, que en sólo una semana, provocó pérdidas de alimentos y falta de agua corriente, sin olvidar que se echaron a perder 40.000 vacunas destinadas a los niños y niñas de los municipios. La proximidad de las Navidades comportó que, en aquella ocasión, los vecinos y vecinas bloqueasen las carreteras entre México y Guatemala. Como consecuencia de estas acciones se criminalizó al Frente de Defensa de los Recursos Naturales y Derechos de los Pueblos (FRENA), y se declaró el estado de prevención en el departamento de San Marcos....</font></td>

Entre el 6 y el 11 de febrero se han desarrollado en Dakar, en el campus de la Université Cheikh Anta Diop, cientos de actividades auto-organizadas, asambleas temáticas, reuniones, manifestaciones y actividades culturales. Diez años después de aquel primer encuentro altermundialista en Porto Alegre, las cifras nos dicen que el foro ha sido, una vez más, un éxito. Pero, ¿qué utilidad tiene realmente el FSM para los procesos de movilización y transformación social? </font></td>

En ambos acontecimientos el protagonista excluyente es el pueblo. Sea en El Cairo o en Dakar, la movilización popular hizo visible lo invisible a millones de personas: que África no es solo pobreza o dictaduras en los gobiernos. África es también conciencia de la miserabilización de la vida cotidiana y lucha para erradicarla.
La discusión económica para muchos analistas durante los 18 días de protesta en Egipto era el impacto en la suba de los precios del petróleo y otros productos que se comercian por la ruta que atraviesa el Canal de Suez. Es cierto que se trata del paso de las mercancías asiáticas hacia Europa y el Atlántico Norte, territorio del capitalismo desarrollado y epicentro de la crisis mundial. Lo que pretendo enfatizar, es que no ven lo principal para el análisis de las cuestiones económicas: la movilización popular que decide en acto, en acontecimiento del accionar colectivo, modificaciones sustanciales en el orden social vigente: el capitalismo.</font></td>

Un vínculo que, como podréis ver, va bastante más allá de los proyectos de cooperación internacional financiados por la Obra Social de las cajas y produce efectos de tipo totalmente opuesto. La relación de las Cajas de Ahorros estatales con actores de anticooperación en el Sur (empresas contaminantes, vulneradoras de derechos humanos, ar¬mamentísticas) y también en el Norte (especulación inmobiliaria) es un claro indicador de la dirección que han tomado en las últimas décadas estas enti¬dades, que se han ido alejando progresivamente de su espíritu fundacional (vocación social, inclusión financiera, arraigo al territorio) y se aproximan a la bancarización definitiva, hoy en día aún más cercana gracias a la Nueva Ley de Cajas y el contexto de crisis financiera mundial. Como personas ahorradoras o inversoras, ¿nos ofrecen más garantías las cajas que los bancos, en caso de que nuestra ética quiera evitar perjuicios a los pueblos del Sur? ¿Son las Finanzas Éticas las herederas del modelo original de Cajas de Ahorros? Estas son algunas de las preguntas que qui¬siéramos plantear - y eventualmente responder - en este estudio que tenéis entre manos.<br><br>

<br>La alimentación está hoy en manos de un pequeño número de empresas multinacionales que deciden qué comemos, cómo se produce y quiénes lo producen. ¿Cuáles son las consecuencias en la salud del modelo alimentario que la agroindustria favorece tanto aquí como en el Sur? ¿Qué nos aportan los alimentos agroecológicos respeto a los productos de la agricultura industrial? Si somos lo que comemos, ¿cómo introducir esta visión en la salud pública? En la búsqueda de alternativas en el consumo más sanas, más respetuosas con el medio ambiente y más justas, la transformación y comercialización de los alimentos agrícolas es otro de los puntos pendientes. ¿Cuál es la situación en Catalunya y en Europa? Estas cuestiones van dirigidas a reflexionar sobre estas jornadas.<br>
