Comité de soutien à la candidature de François Houtart au prix
Nobel de <st1:personname w:st="on" productid="la Paix">la
Paix</st1:personname> 2011 remercie les milliers de
personnes qui à travers le monde (74 pays) ont participé à la
campagne de signatures. Ce résultat a permis de souligner
l’importance de l’idée et de l’action altermondialiste, face
aux défis posés à la planète et à l’humanité.<br>
Cependant, François Houtart a demandé au Comité de ne pas
poursuivre cette campagne personnalisée. Son âge et ses
projets personnels ne lui permettraient pas d’assumer
pleinement le rôle exigé dans ces circonstances. Il considère
que ce qui doit surtout être mis en valeur, est le caractère
collectif de l’effort des innombrables mouvements et personnes
qui luttent pour qu’un autre monde soit possible.<br>
L’étape que nous avons parcourue ensemble a le mérite de
s’inscrire à l’intérieur d’un grand mouvement et de manifester
ainsi un espoir dans l’avenir. Nous la terminons en demandant
à chacun de continuer dans tous les lieux possibles une action
indispensable à la sauvegarde de la nature et à la vie de
l’humanité.<br>

The support Committee for the candidature of François Houtart
for the 2011 Nobel Prize wants to thank the thousands of
people (74 countries) who have participated to the signature
campaign. Such a result has showed the importance of
alterglobalization ideas and actions, facing the present
challenges for nature and humankind.<br>
However, François Houtart asked the Committee to put an end to
this personalized campaign. His age and his personal projects
would not allow him to fully assume the role requested in such
circumstances. He believes that what needs to be especially
emphasized is the collective character of the innumerable
movements and persons who are struggling for another possible
world.<br>
The steps we have accomplished together have been part of a
great movement and manifested a hope for the future. We are
closuring this phase, asking to everyone to continue in all
possible places an action indispensable for the safeguard of
nature and of human life. <br>

El Comité de apoyo a la candidatura de François Houtart para
el Premio Nobel de <st1:personname w:st="on" productid="la
Paz">la Paz</st1:personname> 2011 agradece a las miles de
personas que, a través del mundo (74 países), se inscribieron
en esta campaña. Ese resultado permitió mostrar la importancia
de la idea y de la acción alter mundialista, frente a los
desafíos que se presentan para el planeta y la humanidad.<br>
No obstante, François Houtart pidió al Comité de apoyo de
cesar esta campaña personalizada. Su edad y sus proyectos
personales no le permitirían asumir plenamente el rol exigido
en esas circunstancias y considera que lo que merece ser
valorado es el carácter colectivo del esfuerzo de los
innumerables movimientos y personas que luchan para que otro
mundo sea posible.<br>
La etapa que hemos recorrido juntos tiene el mérito de
inscribirse al interior de un gran movimiento y de manifestar
así esperanza en el porvenir. Terminamos aquí esta etapa
solicitando a cada uno de Ustedes de continuar, en todos los
lugares posibles, la acción indispensable para salvaguardar la
naturaleza y la vida humana.<br>
