Porque se han planteado en tanto que una pieza del juego necesaria para enfrentar grandes problemáticas munciales, regionales, estatales y locales. Solución en concreto ante el Cambio Climático, la crisi y dependencia energética de los Estados Unidos y de Europa ante los "países gamberros", la contaminación en las ciudades, el éxodo rural y la extrema pobreza del Sur. No obstante, también han sido noticia porque suponen impactos negativos muy serios en algunos sectores. Por un lado se ubican aquellos que ven las oportunidades (negocios principalmente, pero también escapatoria política), y por otra parte, aquellos que serían víctimas o afectados. ¿Oportunistas, sensibles y potenciales afectados estirando de una misma cuerda. ¿Quiénes son unos y otros? </font></td>

Desde el Observatorio de la Deuda en la Globalización (ODG) iniciamos hace ya más de tres años un trabajo de discusión alrededor del concepto de la Deuda Ilegítima. Un trabajo compartido con muchas otras organizaciones y movimientos sociales de todo el mundo. Dicho esfuerzo de conceptualización se complementa con la realización de estudios de caso y, en la medida de lo posible, el impulso de procesos de auditorias de deuda que nos ayude a llevar a la práctica el concepto de deudas Ilegitimas.<br><br>
Es en este marco que desde el ODG hemos realizado el informe “Deudas ilegítimas entre el Ecuador y el Estado español”. A través del estudio de casos reales, se quería demostrar que existen deudas que el Estado español exige y cobra en la actualidad que pueden ser ilegítimas, y que es necesaria y factible la realización de auditorias integrales de la deuda, tanto en el Sur como en el Norte, para dilucidar el origen legítimo o no de dichas deudas.<br><br>

Las y los autores de este libro integran el Grup de Bionegocis, un espacio multidisciplinario impulsado desde la Campaña “No te Comas el Mundo”, que investiga en Cataluña desde el año 2007 sobre la temática de los agrocombustibles. El principal objetivo de esta publicación se ubica en profundizar algunos aspectos con el objetivo de brindar herramientas de reflexión y de acción. Pretende responder a preguntas tales como: ¿Qué son los agrocombustibles? ¿Es positivo su rendimiento energético? ¿Cuál es la huella hídrica de estos carburantes? ¿Son realmente una respuesta ante el calentamiento global? ¿De dónde proviene la materia prima? ¿Mejoran las condiciones de vida en los países del Sur? ¿Cuáles son los intereses corporativos en este rubro? ¿Generarán los agrocombustibles una mayor Deuda ecológica? ¿Es la segunda generación una respuesta adecuada? ¿Qué perspectivas tenemos ante la Soberanía alimentaria y la Soberanía energética?<br><br>

Por primera vez en el Estado español se hace sentar en el banquillo de los acusados a un Inspector y a un Subinspector de la Policía Nacional por dar órdenes de carga desproporcionada contra manifestantes que reclamaban la abolición de la Deuda Externa. <br><br>
